Transitioning from youth to adult footwear

Got an eye rolling tween who seems to outgrow something everyday?  Yeah, me too.  And I have found that Footwear is the most frustrating item to figure out sizing for sometimes.  So let's break it down.

Let's start with boys vs. men's footwear because it's simpler.  This will sound shocking but....they are the same size wise.  Yes, for real.  If you are looking to size up from a youth size 4 shoe for example, you can choose a youth size 5 OR if you can't find that, a MEN's size 5 will also do the trick. Poof.  Mind blown.

OK, now let's move over to girls vs. women's sizing.  There's some mathing involved here.  Let's use the same example.  You are looking to size up from a girl's youth size 4.  In this case, you can choose a youth size 5 OR add 1.5 to the original youth size to get the current ladies size they are in.  In this case, it's ladies size 5.5.  So, to size up, choose the next size (a size 6 or 6.5)

Confused?  Let's review.  Boys youth shoes and men's shoes are interchangeable.

For girls, add 1.5 to the youth size to find the ladies size equivalent.

And don't forget, if you can't find the youth sizes at Pea Shoots trying looking at the footwear in my adult consignment shop Rewindz (www.rewindzvi.ca).

    Happy preloved hunting!
